A Cupcake Birth Day

Specially if it comes from Georgetown Cupcake.
It might not be Georgetown Cupcake but it is as good and as yummy.
Even the MOMs love it.
Kids nibble it, even the candles coated with icing.

Every summer, Pinoy Rockville Volleyball enthusiast gather round and have fun playing this sport.

Jay-jay's Middle School Graduation
How time fly-by so fast. My little girl finally a High School-er. After grabbing the LEGACY award for CHORAL MUSIC, Jayjay got another feather on her cap : Honor Roll and a Math Award in Algebra 1.
On this pic is Jay-jay's Filipina friend (Bisaya ni siya Dong...) Sylvian. Straight A student since 6th Grade and a LEGACY AWARD FOR VISUAL ARTS. There was also another Filipina who got another LEGACY award. Nangharos gyud ang mga PINOY.

Outgoing 8th Graders under the tutelage of Maestro Guerra. These eight graders were instrumental in building the CHAMBER CHOIR program of Loiderman MS which has attained NATIONAL RECOGNITION as superior rating for the entire USA.

Winning over Selective Mutism
My youngest daughter J.J (Jay-jay) struggled with this anxiety disorder since she started going to School all the way to 5th Grade. It was a long hard battle that will drain your patience and emotions.
There were days when your frustration as a parent will carry you down the drain of hopelessness.
We thought that Jayjay will overcome this emotional anxiety, but she never did.
Till one day, Jayjay had a minor accident, she bumped her head on the playground at school but could not say anything. Despite the pain she felt words won't just come out of her mouth. She just cried silently on her own.
Time for professional intervention.
We were so fortunate, The Psychology Dept. of the University of Maryland was conducting research and treatment for Behavior Therapy for anxiety disorders.
Around 6 months of treatment with the finest Clinical Psychologist and Therapist in the country. Jayjay finally started to talk at school on the 5th Grade.
From there on, there was no stopping.
3 years after...
She won one of the most coveted award in Loiderman Middle School.
The LEGACY AWARD FOR CHORAL MUSIC, given to the most outstanding Choral Music Student.
Then I heard ... AND THE LEGACY AWARD FOR CHORAL MUSIC ....GOES TO...... JIRAH MAE QUERUBIN....
I almost jumped out of my seat !!!!!
It was like winning the Tony's ....even better...
CONGRATULATIONS Jayjay..... It was a sweet victory after so many years struggling on this anxiety disorder.
