May Festivals

The Fiesta month is here. I remember riding the Ouano barge going to downtown Mandaue to Celebrate the Fiesta. I remember having a scrumptious dinner at Nila/Bobby Peteros house and some other friends and relatives. Braving the throngs of St. Joseph devotees in going to church. That was then...Now in Maryland we still have bits and pieces of what we have back home. Last May 2, 2009 I attended the St. Rose of Lima annual Sta. Cruz an. After the parade we also have a potluck fiesta celebration. Not much but it was more than good enough. Filipino Fiestas are usually celebrated here in summer around July and August.
