Here are some of our camping pictures taken at Solomon Island and in the lake (Urbana Md).
Solomon Island is not really on a separated island from the mainland they just happen to name this place a such in relation to the real one somewhere in Papua New Guinea. We actually stayed inside a protected area in the Naval Army Research Center Facility. You need someone from the Navy for you to guarantee entrance. This one is courtesy of the Agravante's who is enlisted in the navy.
The boating pictures and the lake is somewhere in Urbana MD. The lake shore is paved with white sand (hauled from the beach) and the mountains provide a fantastic view. We camped out under the trees. What is good about this camping sites is that they are all equipped with Bathhouses, water and security.
